Group Purpose:

            To assist the church of Saint Thomas the Apostle in promoting and enhancing Christ in its youth, and to generate fellowship among the men of the parish.           

Group Objectivities:

            To promote Christ in our parish youth by financially supporting the religious education programs at St. Thomas.  To promote and enhance Christ in our youth by financially supporting “The House Next Door” youth ministry programs and other church programs that need our support.  To create fellowship among the men of the parish via our fund raising activities, church work activities, and meetings.             

Group Membership:

            We are open to all the men of the parish and consider all men as members, some more active than others.  We encourage the men of the parish to join us at our meetings and become involved with helping us provide for the youth of our parish. 

Activities:

            The Men’s Club conducts fund raisers in support of the youth of our parish, religious education programs, and as needed church support.  We publish the church bulletin and sell the advertising space on the back of the bulletin.  We conduct an annual Turkey Bingo event as well as our annual Pancake Breakfast Event.  We also coordinate fund raisers with youth ministries for their needs. (silent auction during the pancake breakfast, and food sales during the turkey bingo event) 

Meetings:

            We hold meetings on the second Monday of every month except the summer months.  The meetings are held in the Church basement and commence at 7:00PM.           

Communications

            A copy of our meeting minutes and financial statements are given to the parish council for consolidation and publication.  We also use the church bulletin for  upcoming announcements as space allows.           

Measures of Success

            We measure our success in our abilities to support the youth of our parish, the church as a whole, and the engagement of our members. 

Prayer for Families Father of love and mercy send the precious blood of your son Jesus to cover our hearts and bestow upon us your grace and love. Strengthen our minds and hearts that in our daily work we may imitate your son Jesus who by his passion, death and resurrection has brought salvation to all mankind. We ask for the powerful intercession of all the holy angels and saints through Jesus Christ our king and merciful Savior. Amen.
