Mission

Group Purpose

To help the women of Saint Thomas the Apostle grow spiritually through social outreach and fellowship.

Group Objectivities

We promote fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities to the women of the parish. We strive to keep the parish hall kitchen fully equipped and supplied with enough items for fellowship and funeral luncheons. We are the main force behind the Pro Life fund raisers at St Thomas. We do outreach missions.

Group Membership

We are open to all the women of the parish and consider all women as members, some more active than others. We encourage the women of the parish to join us at our meetings and become involved with helping us provide for our parish.

Activities

The Women’s Club conducts fund raisers in support of pro life and mission outreaches. We hold an annual garage/clothing sale fund raiser, at least three pro-life fund raisers, and make quilts for the missions and for the festival.

Meetings

We meet on the third TUESDAY (CHANGE) of each month, from September through May, for group for business and activities reviews and discuss future activities and needs. Watch bulletin for dates and times. The quilters meet ten or more times a year in the church basement and you may contact the parish center for more information as to dates and times.

Communications

A copy of our meeting minutes and financial statements are given to the parish council and placed on bulletin board in parish center. We also use the church bulletin and pulpit announcements.

Measures of Success

We measure our success in our abilities to support the youth of our parish, the church as a whole, and the engagement of our members.
