Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation Religious Education The parish of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church recognizes the parent as the primary educator of their child. (Deuteronomy 11:19) Therefore, as religious educators, we work closely with the family to provide a well rounded Catholic faith program. It is with the family that children attend Mass and celebrate the Sacraments. The family and the parish, through Religious Education and Faith Formation programs, need to be a team in the religious education of their children. Adult Faith Formation Here is an opportunity for the adults of our parish to grow in their Catholic faith, while the youth of our parish grow in theirs. During Religious Education, beginning November 11th, videos will be shown in our Parish Center on a large screen. Each video will be shown twice, once from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30pm. The second time it will be shown at 7:45 p.m. Please join us. Go to the “Updates” section at the top, right corner of this page for information on the videos each week.

Children of all ages, STEP RIGHT UP, put on your marching boots and join the Our Father Parade! Meet St. Joseph of Cupertino, THE FLYING FRIAR! Learn the meaning of the Perfect Prayer on earth given to us by Jesus, the Perfect Teacher! The Our Father or Lord's Prayer contains fifty-six POWERFUL words that summarize the Gospel teachings. Children will travel with Saint Joseph of Cupertino, the patron saint of students, on a quest to serve God despite the many obstacles in his life. They will learn about his struggle with schoolwork, poverty, and rejection, and how God stepped in and helped his faithful friend. By the power of the Holy Spirit, time and time again, Joseph was lifted "off the ground" because of his holiness. Remember the Bible message; All things are possible with God.
Hear EXCITING Bible stories, AMAZING music and enjoy outdoor activities (weather providing)! You won't want to miss a beat. It may be HOT this summer, but you'll be COOL in Vacation Bible School!

Adoration, Confession and Childern's Adoration
Adoration:
Come and pray for our Youth! Each Wednesday evening, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., during Religious Education, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed in the Monstrance for Eucharist Adoration. All are welcome to come and spend 10 minutes or the whole hour with our Dear Lord Jesus Christ. Call Pam in the office if you would like to commit to a certain night. At least one person must always be present each of these evenings. Thank you for your prayers!
Confession:
Another great opportunity to confess and be reconciled with our Lord and Savior and the Church! From now through the end of Religious Education, Father Rudolph will be in the confessional from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. during the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Children's Adoration:
Children's Adoration will take place from September through May, on the 1st Tuesday of each month, at 9:00 a.m. in the Church with confessions following. We will be having adoration designed to teach the very youngest of our parish about the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. These little ones are invited to come up to the altar and Adore through prayer, singing, praying one decade of the Rosary, etc. It is okay if they are wiggly and not perfectly quiet. Jesus said, "Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14. All ages are welcome. It is heartwarming to see the love and joy these little ones have for their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |
