Group Purpose: Saint Thomas Parish’s families are divided into twelve groups labeled with a Saint’s name. Each group consists of forty to fifty families. Each group is assigned a month in which they may be asked to: help in bringing up the gifts at Mass; serve as host family for Hospitality Sunday; help with funerals as chairperson, caller, food server or luncheon helpers; and to help in special events that may arise. A coordinator will assist as contact person and schedules volunteers to help with the various activities. Group Actions: Volunteer Team Program Coordinators call all the families on the team each month and make sure the required events are covered. Group Membership: Every member of St. Thomas the Apostle parish is considered a member of the volunteer team groups. Coordinators are volunteers that serve two to three years terms and support the programs by coordinating the volunteers to the needed tasks. |
