Synod Implementation: Small Groups

LEARN TO BE A SMALL GROUP LEADER

There will be a wide range of groups being formed in our parishes (Parish cluster: Ss. Peter & Paul and St. Thomas the Apostle). Those who lead the groups will have input on what kind of group they’ll lead. To prepare this fall, there will be training and teaching tools given to those volunteers willing to run a future parish small group. The training sessions will be Thursday evenings at St. Thomas, beginning September 21, at 6:30pm. To sign up for training or to give input on the types of parish small groups you’d like to see, Contact Cheryl Kliszcz (cherylak357@gmail.com) or Ana Grace Plotts (agplotts@gmail.com).

If you feel inspired by this or any other aspect of the Archdiocesan Synod Evangelization process, consider the following action steps:

  • Prayerfully discern participating in Small Group Leader Formation, a free seven-week series held Thursdays  (6:30-8:30pm), from September 21-November 9 at St. Thomas, facilitated virtually by Bishop Joseph Williams. This formation is intended for those who are open to playing a leadership role in a small group.

  • Read the “Pastoral Letter: You Will Be My Witnesses,” found at archspm.org/synodletter.

  • Small groups will be formed in early 2024. Watch for details on this in the future.
