OCIA (formerly called RCIA) is an instruction in the Catholic faith for adults who have received some Christian sacraments, are in a different Christian denomination, or are not Christians seeking to enter the Catholic church and those who want to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of their faith. Classes begin each fall and meet weekly until just before Easter. Candidates are initiated, baptized, or confirmed at the Easter Vigil annually. Faith is a journey towards union and intimacy with Christ throughout one’s life.
