OCIA (formerly known as RCIA) is an instruction in the Catholic faith for adults who have received some Christian sacraments, are in a different Christian denomination, or are not Christians seeking to enter the Catholic Church, as well as those who want to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of their Catholic faith. Classes begin each fall and meet weekly until just before Easter. Candidates are initiated, baptized, or confirmed at the Easter Vigil annually.
