About The Event
Reclaiming Sunday
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (Paragraph 2184) emphasizes that Sunday rest allows individuals to cultivate their familial, cultural, social, and religious lives. It is rooted in the biblical command to keep the Sabbath holy (Exodus 20:8-11).
Speaker Gina Bauer and guest presenters Steve + Carrie Schmitz, and Mike + Mary Milless will talk about Reclaiming Sundays and offering lasting habits for families, parents, grandparents, and single individuals to anchor each week in a joyful, prayerful, and restful observance of the Sabbath. This observance allows individuals to disconnect from daily labor, draws them closer to God, builds community, and fosters personal growth.
Childcare available for children age 4+ (registration is required by 12pm on February 23). Childcare starts at 6:15pm. Snacks provided; please inform us of food allergies when registering.
